NRC-IRAP Interactive Visits Program

The Interactive Visits Program provides clients of the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP) with up to 20 hours of access to the equipment, facilities and expertise of a Technology Access Centre (TAC) to solve a specific business or technical challenge. If you are not currently an NRC-IRAP client, contact NRC-IRAP at 1-877-994-4727 for screening and connection to an Industrial Technology Advisor (ITA) if eligible.

NSERC Grants

You may collaborate with us through a Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) Connect Grant, Engage Grant, or ARD Grant.

  • NSERC Connect Grants – for a researcher to travel to the client for proposal development. Up to $5,000.
  • NSERC Engage Grants – for projects up to six months in length with a maximum budget of $25,000 and a minimum of $5,000 in-kind from the client.
  • NSERC ARD Grants – for larger projects up to $75,000/year for one to three years or up to $150,000/year for one to three years. The client must contribute half of the total project cost in a combination of cash and in-kind; half of this or 25% of the grant value must be in cash.

AB Innovates

IATC is a collaborative partner within the Alberta Innovates' province-wide Regional Innovation Network. Alberta Innovates offers numerous programs to support Alberta’s high potential, high growth, technology and knowledge-based small- and medium-sized enterprises. Businesses may be eligible for funding through Alberta Innovates programs to advance their Technology Readiness Level and accelerate new product commercialization.

The Canadian Agricultural Partnership is a five-year, $3 billion federal-provincial-territorial investment in the agriculture, agri-food and agri-based products sector. Opportunities to access this funding through a collaboration with IATC exist.
