How to work with us

1. Create a client profile

The first step for working with us is to complete a client profile form that includes details on your company, the problem or issue that needs to be resolved, the expertise required and the timeline. This information helps us match your specific need with the right area of expertise and service stream (applied research, technical services and consulting or training and education). Anyone interested in working with us for research or technical services is required to complete a client profile form.

2. Bridge process

Once we receive your client profile, our team will review it and find the best fit between your needs and our current expertise and capacity. If we see a potential match, the next step is to arrange a meeting between you, our researchers, and the IATC office. If we do not see a match, we can refer you to our partners, both provincially and nationally.

IP Policy

Technology transfer activities significantly impact industry partners, industry practice and business development. IATC complies with the intellectual property (IP) policy of Lethbridge College. Lethbridge College has mandatory institutional ownership of IP created by employees, including student employees. The policy accommodates transfer of ownership and it is Lethbridge College’s normal practice to grant private sector clients commercial rights, while Lethbridge College retains the right for IP in some cases to be used for further research and education. This process allows companies to commercialize results quickly.
